Classes suspended across most IITs, students asked to vacate hostels

Residential campuses across the nation are suspending academic activities and convocation ceremonies while placements have been postponed. Some institutes are asking students to return home in a bid to de-densify the campus; uncertain about how long the pandemic will last, most are setting up infrastructure to conduct classes online for the summer session.
