ICMR begins phase-II of plasma therapy trials

Indian Council of Medical research (ICMR) has begun the phase-II multi-centre clinical trials to check the safety and efficacy of convalescent plasma therapy for treatment of Covid-19 with 452 people to be enrolled as samples for the randomised controlled trials. ICMR has so far approved 21 of the 111 institutions which have expressed interest in participating in the clinical trials, an official said.
