In a first in 4 months, weekly Covid-19 cases register a fall

For the first time in at least four months of the pandemic, weekly Covid-19 cases in India have registered a fall. The drop in fresh infections, as compared with the previous week’s tally, was marginal but significant. ​​India recorded 6,40,019 new Covid-19 cases last week (September 14-20), nearly 5,000 less than the 6,45,014 cases reported in the previous week (September 7-13).
