‘Very severe cyclonic storm’ to hit TN, Pondi & Andhra today

With the India Meteorological Department (IMD) upgrading its alert on Cyclone Nivar, which will made landfall as a ‘very severe cyclonic storm’ between Karaikal and Mamallapuram late on Wednesday evening with a wind speed of 120-130kmph gusting to 145 kmph, PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke to chief ministers of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and assured all support from the Centre.
