Covid-19: India reports 81,466 new cases, highest in six months

As many as 81,466 new Covid-19 cases were reported in a span of 24 hours, the biggest single-day rise in six months in India. It is the highest since October 2, 2020 when 81,484 patients had tested positive for the virus.
