Over two and a half crore aspirants will be assessed via alternative methods with majority of education boards across the country calling off the Class 12 exams because of the pandemic. The latest is UP, which at 56 lakh registered candidates (Class 10 and 12 combined), is the biggest board. The SC on Thursday asked CBSE and ICSE, to spell out in two weeks the objective evaluation criteria to award marks and grades to Class 12 students.
