IIT researchers who predicted a nearly accurate peak of the Covid-19 second wave believe that the third wave, if at all it comes, may not be as scary as the second one as long as no new mutant which may pass through all kinds of immunity arrives on the scene. Their mathematical model suggests a rise in cases of infection this month and a peak of over 1 lakh of daily cases in October in the worst-case scenario.
