4th Test: England off to a strong start in daunting chase

England's under-fire opening pair made a confident start after an indomitable Shadul Thakur and a calm Rishabh Pant ensured a 367-run lead for India as the 4th Test entered an engrossing home stretch. Haseeb Hameed (43*) and Rory Burns (31*) put on 77 runs on a placid track that showed little signs of wear and tear. England are still 291 runs away from victory while India need 10 wickets on the final day.
