UP’s tiger reserves need community-based wildlife conservation: Experts

Wildlife experts suggested involving local communities near tiger reserves in Uttar Pradesh in conservation efforts to reduce man-wildlife conflicts. Referencing successful community-based programs in Nepal, they proposed starting with Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. Nepal's approach includes military protection, financial assistance for attack victims, and crop insurance, resulting in a significant increase in tiger numbers and minimal human-wildlife conflict.
